Care coverd by czech insurance
Czech healthcare system allows care provided by a midwife to be covered by health insurance. However, it is necessary for the midwife to have a contract with the health insurance company and to operate in the contracted region, which also includes reimbursement of travel expenses to your location. Another condition is that the home visit service must be indicated by a doctor.
At the moment, I have contracts with insurance companies 209 ZP Škoda and 211 ZP MV for the Prague district for the procedure:
06211 Návštěva těhotné, matky v šestinedělí – 4x , obvykle 1x v těhotenství a 3x v šestinedělí
(Visit to a pregnant woman, postpartum mother – 4x, usually 1x during pregnancy and 3x in the postpartum period)

What do I need to do to have the midwife's home visit service covered by insurance?
I offer two options for postpartum visits, which differ in the extent of care provided and in any additional fees for services beyond what is covered by insurance.
Basic visit (30 minutes) - no fee
During this visit, I will check on you, focusing on the condition of the uterus, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, any birth injuries, and I will make necessary entries into your medical records. The visit is quick and focused solely on you, so we will not have time for further consultations or to check on the baby. This service is fully covered by insurance, so there are no additional costs for you.
Complete care package (1.5 - 2 hours) - 600 CZK
If you prefer more thorough care, I offer a comprehensive visit, during which I will not only check on your condition (covered by insurance), but also focus on the baby and provide lactation counseling. We will monitor weight gain, the umbilical stump, development, breastfeeding, and address any other concerns you may have. This visit lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and requires an additional payment of 600 CZK.
- Visit with newborn screening – an additional 300 CZK is charged for the screening materials for this option.
